men as objects: SURVEY

i am currently working on gathering information about how women view men sexually, and vice versa. so it'd be great if you could answer these questions for me. thanks.

FOR HETEROSEXUAL WOMEN:

QUESTION ONE.
When do you find men most sexually attractive?
QUESTION TWO.
What ass-pecs (aspects) of the male persona turn you on?
QUESTION THREE.
Do you generally think of yourself as more sexually dominant, or submissive?
QUESTION FOUR.
When do you feel sexiest?
QUESTION FIVE.
When do men make you feel sexiest?
QUESTION SIXTY-NIIIINE.
Do you ever look at pornography? If so, what kinds?
QUESTION SEVEN.
Can you give me an example of men being sexually objectified?

Now I'd like you to look at some photos.

Now, answer some questions.

WOMEN
Which of those photos do you find sexiest? Why?
Which do you find least sexy? Why?
Which do you think objectifies the subject the most? Why?

MEN
Which of those photos do you think women would find sexiest? Why?
Which do you think women would find least sexy? Why?
Which photo do you think objectifies the subject most? Why?

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

  1. cigarette, b&w, suit, careless glance.
professional, powerful, and deviant. a walking contradiction of clean and dirty, or maybe a mess of things thrown together so carelessly, the man could only be sex personified (and i don't care that he was in twilight, i've not seen the film and don't care to).

the scenester with the phone cam is gross. women should have child bearing hips—not males. and i also don't like my men with eating disorders or under 15. also, the wannabe fireman is joke. everything about that pictures makes me laugh.

i think all the photos objectify men—something about the unmissable props in each make their subject transparent and shallow (i'm a doctor, i'm a dad, i'm a dick). i'd say the last one, just because it's typical. but they all have a latent sense of "look at me, i am man."

  2. HOTTEST:
RPATZ and the guy with the zelda tri-force on his stomach are the hottest.
Reasoning- TWILIGHTTtt lol duh, hes scruffy and sweet but he looks like he could do insanely dirty things to me. He has nice hands, and i fall instantly for a man in a suit. <3 Zelda guy- because of the fact he has a triforce... but the star on his hip bone? really? sick. The apple guy because he obviously is intellectual because he's laying on a book, and the apple clearly shows that he likes to take care of his body and eat right. lol

    - I find the first 3 images to be nasty. First guy needs to shower and wear pants that leave a little to the imagination. he is too feminine fr me. 2nd guy looks like a European man who probably speaks broken english/french hes probably a nancy boy. 3rd guy--Pit hair= get
out and tweeze that shit. sick

I feel like the last image objectifies the most, and adds a stereotype as well as a subliminal message that this man can "crank my hydrant." but i feel as i agree with the prior comment that all of these images were created for no other reason then to objectify these men. to sell them to the viewer for some reason or another, may it be sexually or for companionship or a quick jerk off... they are created for a purpose.

  3. 1. when they're smarter than me. or naked. both is good.
    2. intelligence and wit turn me on most.
    3. 60/40 sub/dom.
    4. when I'm creating things.
    5. when they're undressing me.
    6. rarely, but sometimes SG. haven't watched 'hardcore' porn in years.
    7. the media.

    pix:
    1. I think they would find the well dressed men sexier than the shirtless ones with ugly tattoos, but I don't know women's tastes very well
    2. dad/doctor/dog... there's nothing sexy about being old and boring. emo kid is lame as fuck too though.
    3. ripped fireman is so cliché that it's almost not sexist anymore. I don't know though, they represent such a range of male stereotypes that I don't think any are more sexist than the others. they're all products.

  4. sexiest: cigarette, (scruff, nice clothes, pretty photograph) bicycle, (careless, preoccupied) bmezine, (admittedly nice body, straightforward, unselfconscious)

least sexy: rumpled suit guy (SO HYPER SELF AWARE), dude with baby (babies are not sexy. babies are a terrifying consequence of sex), emo kid (looks like a child), fireman (horribly posed, so muscle-y and unrealistic)

most objectified: all the ones where the guys aren't doing anything. as a rule, men are depicted as IN ACTION, which is different from women that are always depicted as static and not doing anything. when men are just there to be looked at seems strange in our culture.

  5. 1: When they're not trying to be sexy (when they don't care they seem to shine the most)
2: intelligent/witty, able to wear emotions on their shoulder
    3: more submissive than dominant
4: when I'm wearing my good clothes (not my painting clothes)
5: when they flirt with me or check me out
6: sometimes softcore (anything harder is just funny)
7: women going to the bar expecting to get objectified by men wanting to booze them up to take them home will in turn objectify men in expecting to get free drinks (double objectification! WHAT?!)

    most sexy for girls:
probably the one with the apple. (he's attractive and buff but not disgustingly built)

    least sexy:
the emo kid. Most girls i know hate other girls that act like their in high school still why would they find a guy who acts like that attractive?

    most object:
You could go down and list how their all objectified (I'm hip, I'm a sex machine, I'm a dad, I'm rich, I'm smart, I'll make you have warm fuzzies all over) but the last one is just ridiculous.
